Xerox Litigation Services – a provider of electronic discovery services to law firms and corporate counsel – opened a new data center in Rochester, N.Y. The facility’s total size is 13,000 square feet and the computer room’s area is 5,500 square feet.
This is the company’s second data center, located about 250 miles away from its primary mission-critical facility in Albany, N.Y. The new facility can manage up to two petabytes of storage, according to a Xerox Litigation statement. The two-site topology is set up to ensure business continuity, with all data processing occurring in both facilities.
The two data centers are connected by a SONET ring, with diverse connectivity points between them.
Also on Friday, Xerox Litigation’s parent company Xerox Corp. said it had successfully closed on an offering of $2 billion in senior unsecured notes. The company will use net proceeds from the offering to pay for its acquisition of Affiliated Computer Services, announced in September. ACS is a $6.5-billion business process outsourcing company. |
