Indian colocation and hosting provider Netmagic Solutions announced a 40,000 sq ft data center in Delhi NCR at Noida.
The company said that to ensure highest power uptime, "express feeders" have been brought to the facility at high voltage levels from nearby sub-stations. Redundant diesel generator sets with underground fuel storage capacity enough to keep the facility running for 48 hours have been installed, should the entire feeder grid fail for an extended period of time.
All racks are being fed power from N+N UPS sets, with sufficient battery backup. The facility has been designed to meet the ever increasing power requirements of modern IT equipments like storage arrays and blade servers.
Delhi-based internet and mobile product company ibibo web's Pratap Kumar Singh, Senior Vice President - Technology Operations, "For our critical products like social and multiplayer gaming applications, we need to have highly scalable and high performance data centers. Netmagic data centers offer the most satisfying experience and unmatched value proposition. Be it its reliable and scalable infrastructure, its uninterrupted power distribution and accurate load reporting (without getting the customer to pay for extra capacity), the on-demand bandwidth increase, reliable service support through its Network Operations Centre or its superior managed services, Netmagic comes out tops on all services and parameters anyway you look at it."
Sharad Sanghi, MD & CEO, Netmagic says, "Many customers in Delhi NCR have been requesting us to start our datacenter here. We are glad to finally launch one in Delhi NCR at Noida. The datacenter will help Netmagic provide the same industry leading services and support that enterprise customers across India have come to expect of us. Our services will best serve those customers for whom IT is mission critical."
The site was engineered and built by Netmagic's inhouse core design & project team.
Netmagic says it is the only data center provider in the country to receive a Gold LEED certification for its USGBC Chennai data center.
This is the 7th data center in the country for Netmagic Solutions, India's largest pure-play managed IT hosting services firm and leader in the Cloud Infrastructure (Infrastructure as a Service) market.
It operates datacenters in Mumbai (including one at the Bombay Stock Exchange), Bangalore and Chennai.
Colocation business in India is growing rapidly, earlier this year Savvis announced a partnership with Bhartri Airtel to use its data centers to offer colocation services in the country.
