Modul Data Center launched a new containerized solution in Bucharest at the World Trade Centre last week that can be “hot coupled” with two or more modules without interrupting production and is built to operate in any climate and temperature.
The division of IPenergy said it can take three to six months to get a fully deployed and operational model anywhere int eh world, from the polar caps to the desert.
Its Modul’Room container has a PUE (power usage effectiverness) below 1.2 and can scale in power use between 20 to 480 kW per modul room.
The Modul MR20 model placed on show at the World Trade Centre has six racks 600/800mm.
IPenergy sales manager Olivier Paulhiac said the company hopes to appeal to banks and telecommunications companies with its product that he says is ideal for hosting environments and backup services.
“The Modul’Room offers real 1.2m wide corridors, in front of as well as behind the racks and above all a total scalability in terms of IT power (more cooling systems can be added while the data center is in operation) as well as in terms of total surface, by coupling together two or more modules without stopping production either,” Paulhiac said.
The Modul’Room data centers come in lengths of 10, 20 or 40 feet.
