Emerson Network Power has launched a new in-row cooling system for data centers, expanding its family of Liebert cooling products, which already includes a number of precision cooling solutions. The new Liebert CRV fits within a row of racks and blows cold air horizontally in both directions.

The system includes real-time environmental monitoring features and dynamic cooling capacity controls. The digital scroll compressor adapts to capacity changes between 20 and 100 percent without cycling off, Emerson said in a statement.

The system adjusts fan speed based on IT load levels.

The Liebert iCOM monitoring and control system allows for integration of multiple CRV systems to work in concert, allowing for easy scalability of the cooling capacity.

The system is available in three forms: stand-alone air-cooled, water/glycol cooling system with a roof-mounted condenser or as a chilled-water configuration integrated directly into the building’s chilled-water system.
