Emerson Network Power has announced global availability of a new UPS system that fits in a 2U rack space. The new Liebert GXT3 can be configured either as a tower or a rack-mount model.
Emerson provides GXT3 in 120V and 230V models and in 500 VA to 3000 VA models, according to a company statement.
“As businesses rely more and more on IT systems to support business-critical applications and initiatives such as virtualization and VoIP, reliable UPS performance is the key to increasing availability, reducing downtime risks, and enabling future growth,” Liebert VP of Engineering Charles O’Donnell, said in the statement.
“The unit’s rated output power factor of 0.9 is a better match with switching-mode power supplies used in today’s IT equipment. A higher output power factor allows for more efficient utilization of the UPS.”
The system automatically detects input frequency of 60 Hz to 50 Hz and features hot-swappable internal batteries that can be replaced by the user and at full load provide four-eight minutes of battery back-up time. Up to six batteries can be used, to allow the UPS to be used with more equipment. |
