UK managed hosting provider DediPower has opened its third data center in Reading, UK – a 11,000 sq ft tier 3 data facility.
The data center can house 200 additional racks at 6kw each, according to DediPower, and affords FM200 fire suppression.
DediPower CEO Craig Martin said DediPower was in need of more robust and reliable storage to keep up with local demand from medium-sized businesses for off-site data storage and compliance and business recovery requirements.
“Forecasts for the hosting market are very positive,” Martin said.
“Medium enterprises are now hungry for the cost and performance benefits they can reap thorugh planned migration to managed hosting."
The new facility will allow DedPower to offer cloud-based services as well as tailored services for central and local governments and collocation options as well as virtual platforms.
