Schneider Electric subsidiary APC has launched the next generation of its NetBotz rack-access monitoring solution, combining environmental monitoring, video surveillance and rack access in a single platform.
The new features of NetBotz include configuration of access-control and auditing of up to 130 rack doors at once through a single interface. The feature eliminates the need to configure each door separately.
The product now also gives users the ability to integrate remote and local access for both APC NetShelter SX enclosures and Chatsworth Global Frame enclosures, widening the variety of compatible products.
Other new features include one IP address for up to 26 doors and 200 credentials and the ability to mount the hardware below the bottom rack-unit space in APC NetShelter SX rack.
The new NetBotz is priced at about US$1,400 per kit for two doors and two handles.
